The overarching feel of the Old Testament is a sense of anticipation of the coming of a Savior. In the New Testament, the Savoir has come and ushered in a new era of his followers. But we followers still live with great anticipation as we eagerly await his second coming, where he will bring all evil and pain to a final defeat and usher in his glorious eternal kingdom.
“And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” Isaiah 35:10
