One of the biggest things we can learn from Genesis 26 and Isaac’s story, is that we can make sinful, faithless choices in our life based on our fears. Isaac had his own fears that led him astray, but God’s love and his promises remained for him, not because of anything Isaac had done, but simply because God is faithful to his word and his people.
“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”
