Mary, the mother of Jesus, is a significant part of the story of Christ’s birth, life, and death. She is held in such high regard in our current Christian culture that it can be hard to try and understand who this humble woman was and what we can learn from her. But through scripture, we can see a small picture of Mary’s faith in her God and what this young woman’s surrendered life meant for her. “‘I am the Lord’s servant,’ Mary answered. ‘May your word to me be fulfilled.'” Luke 1:38
