In Acts, Peter is used by the Lord to break the seed that hinders the gospel from spreading to all nations. As the people ask about whether or not to follow the law attributed with Jewish culture, God reminds them of salvation that comes through faith. The Lord gave and sent out his followers by the Holy Spirit to spread the good news, bringing more people to himself. We see the gospel is one that transcends cultures and able to reach all people- no longer just the Jews but now even to the Gentiles! Just as in Paul’s time, the local church and the missionaries worked together to take the gospel to all, so we can see God using these two structures to continue to spread the gospel and grow his Kingdom.
When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to the Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.
