The Look of Life

What makes a Christian? Is it their regular attendance to a church? Is it their lists of do’s and dont’s? Is it the music they listen to, the movies they are allowed to watch, or their political positions? Is it the acts of mercy, the positive attitude, their hope of eternal life? It can become easy to identify a Christian by all the incidentals, the things that follow from what is essential, the presence of the Holy Spirit. As we study through the fruit of the Spirit in this series, we begin to see that for all the outward signs that may be valuable in identifying a Christian, the mark that God gives in determining who we are is the presence and power of his Holy Spirit.
