After the fall of man, the world became consumed with sin and selfishness. God generously promised Abraham to bless him so that he would be a blessing to the nations and the good news of the gospel would be preached to all. When finding ourselves asking why the roads are long or rocky, we may stop to think about God’s purpose for the whole earth to know there is a God. This, the minor prophets told the people to remember- the great plan for God’s name to be praised. The Lord will even use the ungodly, as seen through Kings, to reveal who he is. Do we understand our Father’s business?
The Lord said to Abram “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
