We can sometimes be critical and judgmental of one another as we live our lives together as Christians. But James has a very direct warning against us doing that, because when we judge each other we are not loving one another. Instead we should build one another up and be gentle in leading each other out of sin.
“Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.” James 4:11
