A lot of Christians first think about attending the church, rather than being the church. But do we understand that we are more than just our Sunday morning routine? We are called to be built up and to build one another up in Christ. There is a special love and unity in the body of Christ that is continually being knit together through the power of God. As we commit to our church and to one another, we will experience hurt, but we will also become more like Christ as we lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22
