Genesis chapters 5 and 10 recount two genealogies, one before the flood and one after. Most of the time we skip over these texts because of the hard to pronounce names and the fact that they seem insignificant to our lives now. But these two genealogies can speak deep truths to us and the generation of the Church, while we wait for the return of our Savior.
“These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.” Hebrews 11:13
