Joseph and Jacob are at last reunited after many many years apart. The Lord has directed Jacob to leave the promised land to go down to Egypt and see his son who will care for all of Israel. And the reunion is a sweet testimony to God's care for his chosen people. "Then Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to meet Israel his father in Goshen. He presented himself to him and fell on his neck and wept on his neck a good while. Israel said to Joseph, 'Now let me die, since I have seen your face and know that you are still alive.'” Genesis 46:29-30
